The Island of Kaho`olawe, target of U.S. Navy bombing until the late 1980s, is undergoing clean-up and restoration, managed as a Hawaiian cultural reserve for eventual transfer to the sovereign Hawaiian nation, envisioned as a learning center where traditional Hawaiian cultural customs, beliefs, and practices can be freely practiced and can flourish for future generations.Kaho`olawe Home Page
